Warmest Wishes

I made this quick and simple card for the October Rudolph Day challenge.  I'm also entering this card into the Merry Monday 'Birds' challenge, Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge 'Embossing, 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown 'Embossng' challenge, Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge 'Use a Sentiment', and Christmas Card Challenges 'Anything Goes'.

Card blank: 7" x 5" white silk
Image: Upcycled Chistmas card
Embossing: Creative Expressions 'Sparkle Squares'
Card: Red mirri and white silk

I embossed the white silk card, trimmed it slightly before layering it onto red mirri and attaching it to the card front.  The lovely robin image was already glittered, so I trimmed it into a square, layered it onto red mirri and attached it to the card front.  The sentiment was also from the same card, this was trimmed, layered onto red mirri and attached to the card front with Pinflair glue.

Thinking of You

I made this card for the current Less is More 'Acetate or Vellum' challenge.  I'm also entering the Alphabet Challenge 'Q for Quick and Simple' and Crafting with Dragonflies 'Let's Go Floral' challenges.  The vellum is from my snippets drawer, so I'm also heading to the playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.

Card blank: 6" x 6" white hammer
Other: Magenta Style '3D flower' and Stampendous 'Friendly Greetings' peel-offs, Sakura Gelly Roll 'Clear Star' pen
Snippets: White vellum

I attached the flower peel-offs to white vellum and fussy cut them.  I attached the main image to the card front with a dot of tacky glue under the flower centres and the bottom of the stem.  I then shaped the other layers and attached them in the same way.  As the glue could be seen under the top flower, I coloured the flower centres with the 'Clear Star' pen.  To finish I added the sentiment to the lower edge of the card.

Snow

Marie is the host for this week's Winter Wonderland challenge and she has chosen 'Frosty' (either cold colours or snowmen) or 'Well Wrapped Up' as the themes.  This week we have two sponsors - Marianne Designs who are offering a special prize and Bugaboo are offering seven digis.

I have used a lovely Bugaboo image for my card and have chosen the 'Frosty' theme.  I am entering the ABC Christmas Challenge 'U for Under the Pile' (I've had the backing paper and Candy BonBon for well over a year), Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge 'Cute or Anything Goes as Long as it's Christmas', Sparkles Christmas Challenge 'Show me a Snowman' and Christmas Card Challenges 'Anything Goes'.

Card blank: 7" x 5" white silk
Stamp: Bugaboo 'Christmas Words - Snow' digi
Die: Cheery Lynn 'Snowflakes Set 2'
Colouring: Promarkers
Card: White silk, silver mirri
Paper: Snowflake (magazine freebie)
Other: Diamond Stickles, Wink of Stella, Turqouise Candy BonBon

I trimmed the snowflake paper, layered it onto silver mirri and attached it to the card front.  I resized the digi, printed it onto white card, and coloured it with Promarkers to match the colours of my paper. The image was trimmed, layered onto silver mirri and attached to the centre of the card. I die-cut a snowflake and attached it to the top corner, adding a turquoise BonBon in the centre.  To finish, I added Diamond Stickles to highlight the snow and a Wink of Stella on the hat bands.

Thank You

I made this card for the current Butterfly Challenge 'C is for Checkered and/or Cyan'.  I am also entering the Cuttlebug Mania 'Thank You' challenge and as the paper and card are from my snippets drawer I'm heading over to the playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.

Embossing: Kars tan embossing mat
Other: Self adhesive shimmer dots
Snippets: Cyan (or as near as I could find to cyan) and white matt card, Lili of the Valley 'Promises' paper

I trimmed a piece of checkered paper, layered it onto cyan card and attached it to the card front.  I die cut and embossed a white circle and then die cut 'Thank You' in the centre.  I attached double sided tape across the back and then inlaid a cyan 'Thank You'.  This was attached to a scalloped die cut, embossed circle and attached to the card front.  I die cut a mini butterfly and attached it to the lower section of the circle. To finish I attached shimmer dots to the top and bottom corners.

Orange Christmas Tree

This month's Christmas Cards All Year Round challenge is 'Use Some Orange' and we are sponsored by Freshly Brewed Designs.  For my card I've made an inlaid die-cut Christmas tree (one of my favourite techniques at the moment) but I have found it hard to photograph the mirri card.

I'm entering Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge 'Winter/Christmas', Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge 'Anything Goes' and Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra where 'Anything Goes as long as it's Christmas'.

Card blank: 6" x 4" white silk
Die: Memory Box 'Sparkling Tile Tree'
Snippets: Orange mirri and white silk card

I die-cut the tree from the white card and backed it with double sided tape.  I then die-cut the tree from several tiny snippets of orange mirri card and inserted these into the white tree.  This panel was then trimmed, layered onto a slightly larger piece of orange mirri and attached to the card front.

Vintage Florals

It's a new challenge at Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge.  This is a great challenge where the theme is always 'Anything Goes' as long as you use some patterned paper on your creation.

For my card I have used 'Vintage Florals' coordinating papers and toppers from Making Cards magazine.   I'm entering The Paper Shelter 'Blooming Days' challenge and the ABC Challenges 'Q for Quick and Simple'.

Card blank:  6" x 6" white silk
Image: 'Vintage Florals' (magazine freebie)
Dies; Memory Box 'Scrollwork' Spellbinders Nestabilities Standard Circles Large & Classic Scalloped Circles Large
Card: Brown matt and white silk

I trimmed the floral paper, layered it onto brown card and attached it to the card front.  The image was layered onto brown and white card before being attached to the centre.  I die-cut the Scrollwork and attached it to the upper corner of the card.  The flower topper was die-cut, layered onto a scalloped brown die-cut circle and attached with foam tape.
