Forget me not

I thought I would share another card I've made this afternoon - this is for this week's Less is More challenge which has the theme 'Friends'.  I bought these Little Claire peel offs ages ago as I thought they were cute, but then never used them!

I attached the elephant peel off and some flowers to a scrap of white pearlesent card and then layered it onto black card - inking the edges with a black Promarker.  The image was coloured with Promarkers and attached to a tent fold card.  I attached the 'Forget me not' sentiment and another flower directly onto the card front.

Christmas Wishes & Kisses

This week's Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge is to use something recycled or something that is free - I've chosen the recycle option and have used an image and sentiment recycled from my Christmas cards.  I have also entered this card into Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra where 'anything goes as long as it's Christmas'.

I attached red patterned paper to an A6 cream card blank.  The sentiment was cut from an old card, the corners were rounded and it was attached to the card with tape.  The image was attached with foam tape to give some dimension to the card.   To finish I used Glossy Accents on the mistletoe berries.

Warm wishes

My choice tonight was - do I finish my ironing or do I make some cards?  It wasn't too difficult to decide, so here is one of the cards I made!   This week's Less is More challenge is 'Sports or Exercise' so I used this lovely Marianne Design 'Ice Skating Don' stamp which was a freebie in a magazine before Christmas.

I used Versafine Black Onxy to stamp the image and sentiment onto a white pearlescent card blank and embossed it with clear embossing powder.  The image was then coloured with Promarkers.  I'm not sure why I didn't use this stamp on any of my Christmas cards as I think he looks quite cute!

Hope your day is glorious

My OH bought me the Woodware Hedgerow stamp for Christmas and I thought it would be perfect for this week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

I used Versafine Olympia Green ink to stamp the image and sentiment onto white pearlescent card and then embossed them with clear embossing powder.  I trimmed the images and used a corner rounder punch on the top of the hedgerow stamp and the left edge of the sentiment.   The background paper and the papers for layering the image and sentiment are all from the same sheet of Magenta Autumn Leaves paper.  I used the Woodware Crafty Edger Ribbon Cassette on a scrap of dark green card and then layered a strip of the Magenta paper across the middle to cover the ribbon slots and to leave the picot edge.  The card was then assembled following the sketch.

For a wonderful couple

We're having a lazy Sunday afternoon (my favourite sort) so my OH is reading the paper and I'm crafting - here's one of the cards I've made today.  I've followed this week's Freshly Made Sketch and as the card is made from snippets I'm also in the playground for Pixie's Crafty Workshop.

I attached a square of red moondust card to a cream card blank.  Onto this, I attached a piece of cream card to the top half, which had been embossed with my Swiss Dots embossing folder, and snippets of green/pink papers to the lower half.  I found two red Cuttlebug Concentric Hearts in my snippets drawer and cut a small slit into the smaller heart so I could link the two hearts - these were then attached with silicone glue to give some dimension.  To finish, I die cut and embossed a small scalloped circle from cream card and stamped the sentiment from Woodware's Getting Married set.
